Constructified is a construction drawing management service operated by 1000925355 Ontario Inc. ("we", "us"), based in Ontario, Canada. This policy covers the Constructified web application and the Constructified iOS and Android apps.
Account information. Your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), company name, and a securely hashed password when you or your company administrator creates an account.
Location — only if you ask for it. If you use the weather lookup on a safety form, the app reads your device's approximate location at that moment and sends the coordinates to a weather service (Open-Meteo) to fetch current conditions for the site. We do not store your location and we do not track your movements. Your device will ask permission the first time, and the rest of the app works normally if you decline.
Camera and photos — only if you use them. If you attach a photo to a task, the app opens your camera or photo library. Nothing is read until you choose a photo, and the photo you choose is stored with the task as project content.
Project content. Drawings, documents, markups, measurements, tasks, and comments you upload or create. This content belongs to you and your company; we store it only to provide the service.
Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's handling of your data is described in Stripe's own privacy policy.
Device and usage information. Basic technical logs (IP address, browser or app version, timestamps) used for security, debugging, and keeping the service running. If you enable notifications, we store a push notification token for your device.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your drawings or project data to train AI models. We do not show ads. Apart from the service providers listed below — who process data only to make the product work, and only on our instructions — we do not share your project content with anyone outside your company.
If you use the BIM module, the model files you upload (for example .nwd, .rvt or .ifc) are transmitted to and stored by Autodesk Platform Services, on Autodesk's infrastructure in the United States. Autodesk converts each model into a form a browser can display and keeps both the file you uploaded and the converted version so the model can be opened again later. This is the only part of the product where your project content leaves our own systems. When you delete a model, or delete your account, we instruct Autodesk to delete both copies. If you would rather not have model files processed this way, do not use the BIM module — the rest of Constructified does not touch it.
Only to provide and improve the service: storing and displaying your drawings, syncing across your devices, sending notifications you've enabled (such as task assignments), processing your subscription, and sending service emails such as invitations and password resets.
Constructified is a team product. Content you upload and markups you create are visible to other members of your company account, according to the roles your administrator sets.
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service: cloud hosting (DigitalOcean), payment processing (Stripe), 3D model conversion and hosting for the BIM module (Autodesk Platform Services), push notification delivery (Apple and Google), transactional email such as invitations and password resets (Brevo), real-time updates (Pusher), weather conditions for safety forms (Open-Meteo), and telephone/voicemail handling for our support line (Twilio). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
Our servers are located in the United States, and the service providers above process data in the United States and Europe. Your data is therefore processed outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of the countries where it is held, including lawful access requests by their courts and authorities. We are an Ontario company and remain accountable for your data under Canadian law wherever it is processed.
If you call our support line, your call may be recorded or transcribed by Twilio so we can respond to your enquiry; you will be notified at the start of the call.
Your data is retained while your account is active. When a company account is closed, its data is deleted from our systems within 30 days (backup copies may persist up to 90 days). You can delete your account at any time from My Account inside the app; see Deleting your account for exactly what is removed in each case. If you can't sign in, email us instead.
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt). Access to project data is isolated per company: every request is checked against the company the signed-in account belongs to, and no request can reach another company's projects, drawings or records. BIM model files held by Autodesk (above) sit in one storage container for the service, addressed by per-company identifiers; only your account can request them through Constructified.
You may request a copy of your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your data. Canadian users have rights under PIPEDA; users elsewhere may have similar rights under local law. Contact us and we will respond promptly.
Constructified is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and notify account owners by email.
